 Pre-Cut Seal
Better ~ There are shingles made specifically to use as the
first row of shingles. They have a tar strip
on the very edge of the shingle where the first row meets the drip edge.
Years ago the installers just flipped a regular 3-tab shingle upside down
and the sealant would be in the middle of the shingle instead of the very
edge. |

 Always Use
~ On a flat roof it is best to
cut some of the modified and turn it upside down before laying the gravel
guard. |
